My question is that in the winter should they be left open or should they be closed. This insulation is penetrated if you open u. During the summer they would open the windows to let the heat out and have cross ventilation. I have my windows opened and my sister in law came over.

They have triple pane storm windows over them so i left the screen window down and have both windows open a crack to get air circulating in the attic. The windows have screens. 6 windows in all. A whole house fan is usually installed on the attic floor near the center of your house.
